Keynsham Clock | Keynsham, England

About

2015 | The Keynsham Clock was commissioned by Bath and North East Somerset Council in 2015, to be located within a newly developed Civic Centre, which included the new Council offices, Library and other civic amenities. As part of the development of the project, a lot of community discussion took place, allowing images to be chosen that were important to the local residents. It was also an opportunity to re-create old advertising posters from the old Fry’s factory (former main source of employment within the area) using local children as models, ensuring a connection with the work and sense of ownership for the future. Digitally printed toughened and curved glass, granite plinth, outer polyurethane resin casing. Images were made using a variety of methods, including 3D modelling and rendering, along with photo compositing.
